Dental Implants

What is a Dental Implant?

A dental implant is a biocompatible post which is made out of Titanium or in some cases a special form of Ceramic material that is surgically inserted into the jawbone. The body then accepts it as the root of a tooth. On top of this post, a dental crown, bridge or a denture can be attached.

At Bundall Dental And Implants, our principal dentist, Dr Shaibani, has special interest and training in the field of dental implants and has years of experience in dealing with some of the most complex and technically demanding implant reconstruction cases. So when you book you Implant consultation appointment with us, you are rest assured getting one of the best implant dentists’ opinion and advice.

Single Tooth
Replacement

Once the concept of dental implant is understood and the feasibility of such operation based suitable general and systemic health of the individual, availability of sufficient bone at the site and anatomical availability of the site, is established, these structures can be utilised to replace one tooth at any given missing tooth area or multiple missing teeth.

Single tooth implants are the most commonly performed implant procedures in the field of implant dentistry. They are by far the most preferred choice, by patients, in replacing a single missing tooth in comparison to the other traditional replacement methods such as dental bridges and removable partial dentures.

At Bundall Dental And Implants all your dental implant needs are catered.

Multiple Teeth & Full
Arch Replacement

When we deal with a larger area of missing teeth (2 or more), we naturally need more implants to go in the place of each missing tooth. However, in certain cases where there are 3 or more teeth missing, we can place lesser number of implants in the jaw than missing teeth but then attach same number of crowns as the number of missing teeth on those implants.

For example, in an area where there are 3 teeth missing, we can place 2 implants and put 3 joined crowns on those 2 implants to mimic 3 teeth.

Similarly, we can place a number of implants (minimum of 4) in a full dental arch which is missing all its teeth and attach a full-arch bridge to replace all the teeth in the arch. This concept has given rise to terms such as “all-on-4” or “all-on-4 and more.”

So, in summary if we can place a sufficient number of implants (sub-structure) to achieve a physical and structural stability then we can load those with a greater number of supra-structures, in other words teeth.

You can rely on us at Bundall Dental And Implants for any of your dental implant needs.

Implant Supported
Dentures (Overdentures)

Those who have been wearing dentures for some time know that dentures can have their own shortcomings and be problematic at times. Pain with function, not being able to function properly, instability of the denture and on top of all, lack of reliability hence low self-confidence are just a few of the problems that some denture wearers experience over time.

Lower full dentures are the most notorious of dentures in terms of what was listed above, however, these days courtesy of dental implants we can readily overcome those problems. In most cases with as little as 2 implants we can anchor down those moving and unstable dentures. When we place implants in some strategic points in the gum/ jaw and place certain other receptacles in the fitting surface or inside of the dentures, we can then make the denture clip on those implants and as result stabilise.

Patients have been so pleased and grateful for such solutions which has rescued them from enduring chronic denture problems.
